~> "TheTaxi" by AmyLowell*

I think this is one of the best poems ever! I really loved it! Not only because of the theme, but because of the relation the author created between an everyday feeling like the loneliness of a person when leaves another with an everyday situation as simple as the fact of getting in a taxi and looking at the things that we see passing through the window, things that may seem very simple, but at the same time, can de related to our feelings, like:

"Streets coming fast,
One after the other,
Wedge you away from me,
And the lamps of the city prick my eyes
So that I can no longer see your face."

I really think this is one of the best poems I've ever read.

~> "Exile" by JuliaAlvarez*

In this poem, the narrator recalls her family’s risky escape from the Dominican Republic. They arrive to New York City, and the little girl, tells us what she thinks when her mom says they are going to the beach, how she pictures herself swimming, but the moment they look themselves in New York, she begins to compare her family with the families from the city. And at the end, she saws a family through a store's window, all dressed up in a "beach mood" and she thinks: Why are they wearing the clothes we should be wearing? I really liked this poem, because I think it reflects what a lot of inmigrants feel when they arrive to a new country, and how sometimes they are discriminated and feel less than the other people.

~> WilliamShakespeare*

I enjoyed this topic a lot, I've always liked William Shakespeare´s work, all the imagination he had on writing his plays, and not caring about tha fact that at those times theatre was not considered as a "real work" and they had to fight a lot of unfair things, like the prohibition to women for acting, the bad conditions in which sometimes they had to represent their plays, tha lack of support, etc.
The play that I like the most is "A Midsummer's Night Dream". I love evertything about that story: characters, plot, setting, everything!
One play that I really don't like that much is "Romeo and Juliet" becau I think that is too dramatic, kinda boring, and if we analyse the story, it just talks about two teenagers "in love" (because let's be realistic, Romeo was in love with one girl at the beginning and suddenly, a minute later, we was proposing to Juliet, that's not good) that a day after they met, get married and the next day, the stupid boy (because Romeo was stupid) begins killing people, and then kills himself because he thinks Juliet is dead, when Juliet had already planned something for them to be together, and at the end, everybody ends up dead.
Still, I really like William Shakespeare's plays and sonnets.

I really liked this stories, specially "Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf". I think it was hillarious, the best part was when Little Red Riding Hood pulls a pistol from her knickers and shoots him in the head. I mean, it was kinda weird but still funny. No one would have ever imagined that at the end everyone was impressed because of her  "lovely furry wolfskin coat."
On the other hand, I did not like "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". I mean, instead of seven dwarfs, having 7 ex-jockeys that spend all their money betting on horses down at the track? I did not like that idea, and the end... I did not like it at all.

Still, I think Roald Dahl is an excellent writer and I like a lot of his stories.
